created:<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.<span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">As you are reading through the Old Testament Scriptures\u2014 especially books such as Isaiah, Jeremiah and Daniel\u2014 it is nothing short of miraculous to see how God\u2019s Plan of Salvation for this world includes both the rise and fall of not only individual kings but also entire kingdoms.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Take King Nebuchadnezzar for example.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>King Nebuchadnezzar ruled over the Babylonian Empire\u2014 the empire that conquered the Nation of Judah and carried God\u2019s people into exile.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>To this day King Nebuchadnezzar is known as a brilliant soldier and a phenomenal builder.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>(Think of the hanging gardens of Babylon)<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>And yet, what became of King Nebuchadnezzar?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He died and his empire eventually fell.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>After King Nebuchadnezzar we learn about King Cyrus.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Cyrus smashed the Babylonian Empire and established the empire of the Medes and Persians.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>And yet, what became of King Cyrus?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He died and his empire eventually collapsed.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>After Cyrus came a man by the name of Alexander the Great.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>With an army of just 30,000 soldiers Alexander the Great conquered the Medo-Persian Empire in just twelve short years!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>At the ripe old age of 30 Alexander became master of the world.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>His Greek Empire would control and influence this world for hundreds of years.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>And yet, what became of Alexander the Great?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He died and his vast empire was carved up by his four generals.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">What point am I trying to make here, my friends?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>My point is actually very simple.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>There have been a number of men who have attained the goal of becoming what some might call the \u201csupreme king.\u201d<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Humanly speaking they ruled with absolute power and control.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Humanly speaking no one could stand up against them.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>And yet, what happened to every single one of those so-called \u201csupreme kings\u201d?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>They died!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>And once they had died their empires fell or collapsed or were carved up by others.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Look back over the course of history, my friends.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Eventually every king dies.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Eventually every kingdom collapses\u2014 except for one!<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">As you and I gather together on this last Sunday in the Christian church year our goal is to focus on the fact that there is only <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">one<\/b> King who truly is <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">supreme<\/b>!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>On the basis of these words of Scripture let\u2019s see how our Brother Jesus is:<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span><b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\"><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">Our Supreme King!<\/i><\/b><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>There are three things we want to see from this text.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>First, let\u2019s see that our Brother Jesus will always be our Supreme King because He is the Creator of all things.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Second, let\u2019s see that as our Supreme King our Brother Jesus will always be the Head of the Church.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Finally, let\u2019s see why it is important for us to believe, teach and confess that our Brother Jesus will always be our Supreme King.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">Let\u2019s start with verses 15-17 of our text.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Paul says concerning Jesus, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cHe is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>For by him all things were created:<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">In John chapter fourteen one of Jesus\u2019 disciples said to Him, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cLord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.\u201d<\/i> (John 14:8)<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Do you remember how Jesus responded to that request?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>In part He said, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cAnyone who has seen me has seen the Father.\u201d<\/i> (John 14:9)<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That is the exact same point that Paul has in mind when he says that Jesus is the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cimage of the invisible God.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>If you want to behold the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cinvisible God\u201d<\/i> you need to behold Jesus.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>If you want to behold the compassion and the concern of the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cinvisible God\u201d<\/i> you need to behold the compassion and concern of Jesus.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Ever since Jesus came into this world no one needs to wonder who the one true God is.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>No one needs to wonder what the one true God is like.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Jesus <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\"><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">is<\/i><\/b> the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cimage of the invisible God.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>When you behold Jesus you behold the one and only true God.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">At the same time Paul tells us that Jesus is not only the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cimage of the invisible God,\u201d<\/i> but He is also the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cfirstborn over all creation.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Now, there are people who misuse this passage to claim that Jesus is the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cfirstborn over all creation\u201d<\/i> in the sense that Jesus is the <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">first thing<\/b> that Jehovah <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">created<\/b>!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>You not only have to torture Scripture to make is say such a thing but it is outright blasphemy!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The Greek word that is translated here as <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cfirstborn\u201d<\/i> does <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">not<\/b> emphasize sequence but rather it emphasizes <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">superiority!<\/b><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Jesus is <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201csuperior\u201d<\/i> over all creation.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Jesus is <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cpreeminent\u201d<\/i> over all creation.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Why?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Because Jesus <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">is<\/b> the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cimage of the invisible God.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>If you have your own study Bible with you today write John 3:16 in the margin next to Colossians 1:15.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>John 3:16 proves beyond any doubt that Paul\u2019s reference to Jesus as the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cfirstborn over all creation\u201d<\/i> <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">equals<\/b> the fact that Jesus is God\u2019s <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cone and only Son.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">The <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201csuperiority\u201d<\/i> of Jesus over creation is not only due to the fact that Jesus is the eternal Son of God, but it is also due to the fact that Jesus was not only actively involved in the creation of all things, but to this day Jesus is holding and preserving the entire universe in the palm of His hand!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Paul says, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201call things were created by him and for him\u2026and in him all things hold together.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span>If Jesus were to withdraw His hand then the entire universe and everything in it would collapse.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">The fact that Jesus is the Supreme King over heaven and earth because He is the Almighty Creator is a truth that you and I will want to hold near and dear to our heart each and every day.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Why?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Because there are any number of people today who would like to think that they are powerful.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>They would like to think that they are in control.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>But are they?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Absolutely not!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Like Nebuchadnezzar, like Cyrus, like Alexander they will die.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Their \u201ckingdoms\u201d will collapse.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>On the day they die they will kneel before our Supreme King Jesus and receive what they deserve.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">Now let\u2019s look at verses 18-20 of our text.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Not only is our Brother Jesus our Supreme King due to the fact that He is the Almighty Creator, but Paul also reminds us that as our Supreme King Jesus is the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cHead of the body, the church.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>History bears witness to the fact that there have been (and still are) mortal sinful human beings who have made themselves \u201chead\u201d of the church.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Only <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">one<\/b> Person has the power, only <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">one<\/b> Person has the right to be called the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cHead of the Church.\u201d<\/i> <span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp;<\/span>That Person is our Supreme King\u2014 Jesus!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Jesus\u2019 right to be the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cHead of the Church\u201d<\/i> is based upon the fact that He is the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cfirstborn from among the dead.<\/i>\u201d Jesus\u2019 right to be the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cHead of the Church\u201d<\/i> is based on the fact that Jesus willingly served us by <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cmaking peace through his blood, shed on the cross.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Jesus\u2019 victorious resurrection on Easter Sunday\u2014 a resurrection which guarantees that through the precious blood of Jesus we are <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cat peace\u201d<\/i> with the one true God\u2014 that victorious resurrection from the dead is the very foundation of the entire Christian Church, my friends.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>If Jesus had not willingly shed His blood in order to pay for our sins, if Jesus had not risen on Easter Sunday as the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cfirstborn from among the dead,\u201d<\/i> the Christian Church would have <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">no<\/b> reason to exist and we would have <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">no<\/b> hope whatsoever.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That is why it is so important for us\u2014 both as individuals and as a congregation\u2014 to stay focused on the cross.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>(Pointing to the cross)<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>This cross is a powerful reminder to us that as our Supreme King Jesus <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">is<\/b> the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cHead of the Church.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">Finally, let\u2019s go back now to the opening verses of our text for today to be reminded on a very personal basis of why we need to believe, teach and confess that Jesus is our Supreme King.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Paul writes, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cFor he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">Ever since the Fall of Adam and Eve into sin this world and everyone in it\u2014 including you and me\u2014 have been \u201cshrouded\u201d in the darkness of sin.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Picture if you will a world with absolutely no light of any sort.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Millions upon millions of people are stumbling around completely unable to change the situation they are in.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>They learn the hard way that this world is filled with rocks and cliffs.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>They can sense that there are dangerous predators lurking somewhere in the darkness, but by the time their suspicions are confirmed\u2014 it\u2019s too late!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That, my friends, is what I picture in my mind when I hear Paul talking about the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cdominion of darkness.\u2019<\/i> <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">In His grace and in His mercy the God of heaven has reached down and <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201crescued\u201d<\/i> us from that <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cdominion of darkness.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Through the gift of saving faith in our hearts\u2014 a gift that was given to us at the time of our baptism, a gift that is strengthened each time we approach the Lord\u2019s altar to receive His true body and blood and every time we read and study God\u2019s holy inspired Word\u2014 through that precious gift of faith we were brought out of the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cdominion of darkness\u201d<\/i> and into the light of the glorious kingdom of God\u2019s Son, our Supreme King!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>In this Kingdom of Light we have the confidence of knowing that we have been redeemed.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We have been \u201cbought back\u201d from the power of sin, death and the devil.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>In this Kingdom of Light we <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">know<\/b>, yes we <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">know<\/b> that we have the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cforgiveness of sins.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>No matter who we are and no matter what we have done our Supreme King, the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth, the Head of the Church, our Brother, Jesus has recorded our name in His Book of Life and behind our name He has written that one all-important word:<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span><b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\"><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">Forgiven!<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">As we look around in our world, my friends, we see that kings come and kings go.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We see that empires rise and empires fall.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>But as we gather together here in God\u2019s house on this last Sunday of the church year this cross (Pointing to the cross) reminds us that there is <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">one<\/b> King who will never pass away and there is <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">one<\/b> kingdom that will never collapse.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That one King is our Supreme King, Jesus.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>As you and I close out this church year and prepare to enter into yet another, my encouragement to you is this:<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Stay close to your Supreme King!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Stay close to your Brother Jesus!<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">To God be the glory!<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">Amen<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;layout-grid-mode:line\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-pagination:none\"><span
