style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Luke 4:14-21<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Make Worship Your \u201cCustom\u201d!<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify;tab-stops:13.5pt .5in 2.5in 238.5pt 337.5pt\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt\">Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>And he stood up to read.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">&#8220;The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord&#8217;s favor.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">&#8220;Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>(NIV1984)<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Another Sunday, another church service.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>\u201cDo I have to go?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>What difference does it make anyway?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>It\u2019s the same thing Sunday after Sunday after Sunday.\u201d<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Even if we never actually allow those words to come out of our mouths, that is exactly what our old sinful nature is thinking.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That\u2019s why we sometimes find ourselves dragging our feet when it comes to church.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That\u2019s why we find it so much easier to make a habit out of doing something else\u2014 anything else\u2014 on Sunday morning.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That\u2019s why we become satisfied with less Jesus, rather than more Jesus.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>You know your old sinful nature doesn\u2019t want you to be here in God\u2019s house this morning.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>But you also know just how foolish and just how dangerous it is to listen to or trust your old sinful nature!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The sinful nature only knows what\u2019s good for itself\u2014 keeping you out of God\u2019s Word and away from Jesus!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>But what feels oh so good for your sinful nature is oh so bad for your soul.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That\u2019s why church can sometimes be such a struggle for us.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>What should be the most natural thing in the world for us, sometimes simply isn\u2019t.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Our old sinful nature sees to that.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">How different things were for our Brother Jesus!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Here in our text Luke reveals to us, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cHe <\/i>(Jesus) <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue as was his custom.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>As we study this familiar portion of Scripture we first want to highlight those four critically important words, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201c\u2026as was his custom.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Then we want to let those words motivate us to follow Jesus\u2019 example and:<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span><b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\"><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">Make Worship Your \u201cCustom\u201d!<\/i><\/b><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span>When you make worship your <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201ccustom\u201d<\/i> that will result in two blessings.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>First, when you make worship your <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201ccustom\u201d <\/i>you will hear about the wonderful things God has done <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">for <\/b>you.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Second, when you make worship your <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201ccustom\u201d <\/i>your worship will keep you focused on Jesus.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">\u201cHe went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom.\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Have you ever stopped to inwardly digest those words?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Even as a very young child Jesus went to the worship services at the synagogue in Nazareth each and every Sabbath day.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>There in the worship service at Nazareth Jesus heard God\u2019s Word read to Him and He listened as God\u2019s Word was explained to Him\u2014 albeit by mortal, sinful, imperfect human beings.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>There in the synagogue at Nazareth Jesus studied God\u2019s Word and learned God\u2019s Word\u2014 to the point that when He was just twelve years old Mary and Joseph found Jesus <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cin the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers\u201d <\/i>(Luke 2:46, 47).<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">For thirty years Jesus had been worshiping in this synagogue each and every Sabbath day.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>For thirty years the members of this synagogue had watched Him grow from a very young boy into a very fine man.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>But this Sabbath day was different.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>This Sabbath day Jesus did not come to the worship service as a hearer of the Word.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>No, my friends, this Sabbath day Jesus came to the worship service as a Rabbi, as a Teacher of the Word.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Luke tells us that after Jesus had read the opening verses of our Old Testament lesson for today ( Isaiah 61:1-6) that <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cThe eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him and he began <\/i>(that is, He began His sermon)<i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\"> by saying to them, \u2018Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.\u2019\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">The people in this synagogue had never seen this side of Jesus before.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The people in this synagogue had never heard a sermon like this before!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cToday this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Astounding!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Simply astounding!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The Jesus whom they had known for thirty years not only not only reminded them of what the Lord their God had <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">promised<\/b> to do for His people, but the Jesus whom they had known for thirty years revealed to them that all of these wonderful promises are now fulfilled\u2014 in Him!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>It was as if the inspired words of the prophet Isaiah stepped right off of that sacred scroll and stood right there in front of God\u2019s people!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Astounding!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Simply astounding!<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Notice that Jesus did not give God\u2019s people a list of ten steps to follow to become a \u201cbetter\u201d person.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Notice that Jesus did not use this opportunity to rally people behind some social issue or some political cause.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>No, my friends, as Jesus sat in the front of that synagogue and proclaimed God\u2019s Word to God\u2019s people He emphasized what God has done <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">for <\/b>them!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That\u2019s what a <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">worship <\/b>service is <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">designed <\/b>to do\u2014 right down to this very day!<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">We come here to God\u2019s house to <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">worship <\/b>our God for what He has done <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">for<\/b> us.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>And what has the Lord done <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">for <\/b>you and <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">for <\/b>me?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Luke answers that question by highlighting those five beautiful pictures from Isaiah.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>First, in Jesus God <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201c\u2026preaches good news to the poor.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>This means that in Jesus we who are <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cpoor\u201d<\/i> in the eyes of the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth, we who are so spiritually bankrupt in God\u2019s eyes that we have absolutely <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">nothing <\/b>to offer Him, we hear the <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cgood news\u201d<\/i> that Jesus freely gives us the priceless gift of forgiveness, new life and salvation.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Second, in Jesus God <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cproclaims freedom for the prisoners.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We have all learned from Scripture that by nature we are born as prisoners of war.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We are held captive by sin, death and the devil and there is <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">nothing<\/b> we can do to set ourselves free.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>But in Him (Pointing to the cross) we <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">are <\/b>set free!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We are free to live for Jesus while we are here on this earth.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We are free to live with Jesus forever in heaven.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Third, in Jesus God <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cproclaims\u2026recovery of sight for the blind.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Before we were brought to faith in Jesus as our Savior we were totally and completely \u201cspiritually blind.\u201d<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The message of the Bible seemed like utter foolishness to us.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>(1 Corinthians 2:14)<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We couldn\u2019t even see that we were on that broad slippery road that leads directly to hell.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>(Matthew 7:13)<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Jesus gives us the ability to \u201csee\u201d\u2014 to see the beautiful message of the Bible, to see that Jesus <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">is <\/b><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cthe way and the truth and the life,\u201d<\/i> to see that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>(John 14:6)<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Fourth, in Jesus God grants <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201crelease <\/i>(for) <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">the oppressed.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The unbelieving world in which we live goes out of its way to try and convince us that sin is \u201cfun\u201d!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The unbelieving world emphasizes things such as:<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>\u201cYOLO!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>(You Only Live Once!)<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>So go ahead and just try it!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Don\u2019t worry, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!\u201d\u2014 and our old sinful nature agrees wholeheartedly!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>It\u2019s not until we\u2019re caught in that spider web of sin that we realize just how <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201coppressive\u201d<\/i> and just how deadly sin actually is.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Ask anyone who suffers from an addiction to alcohol or an addiction to drugs or an addiction to porn.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The burden is horrible.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Jesus and Jesus alone <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201creleases\u201d<\/i> us from both the oppression of our sin and from the guilt of our sin by taking all of our sins upon Himself, carrying them to the cross on Calvary\u2019s hill, paying the punishment that we deserve and then declaring to us:<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cIt is finished!\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>\u201cTrust Me!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>The oppressive debt of your sin has been paid\u2014 in full!\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">And finally, in Jesus God Himself <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cproclaims the year of the Lord\u2019s favor.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>This is a reference to the Old Testament Year of Jubilee.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>(See Leviticus 25)<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>God commanded His people that every fiftieth year all slaves were to be set free, all debts were to be canceled and all property that had been sold was simply returned to its original owner.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>While we can only imagine the joy which overwhelmed God\u2019s children in the Year of Jubilee, we don\u2019t have to imagine the joy that Jesus brings to you and to me!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Take the joy that you feel at Christmas, combine it with the joy that you feel at Easter and multiply it a million times over!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That\u2019s just a small fraction of the joy that Jesus gives to you\u2014 not only now, but especially in eternity!<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Joy!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>That\u2019s what worship is all about, my friends.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We joyfully come here to God\u2019s house to learn even more about the wonderful things that our Savior God has done and will do <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">for <\/b>us!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>But there is only one way for that joy to be ours.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Luke reminds us of how that joy becomes and remains ours when he says in our text, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cThe eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him <\/i>(Jesus).<i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201d<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span><\/i>We don\u2019t come to worship here in God\u2019s house expecting to be given a list of ten things that we can do in order to come a \u201cbetter\u201d person.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We don\u2019t come to worship here in God\u2019s house to seek support for political causes or social issues.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>We come to worship here in God\u2019s house with the goal of seeing and hearing Jesus as He continues to come to us through His holy Word and His holy Sacraments.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>When God\u2019s Word and God\u2019s Sacraments are the focus of our worship then Jesus Himself will come to us to <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cpreach good news to the poor\u2026to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord\u2019s favor.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Yes, my friends, Jesus is here for <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">you<\/b>!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He\u2019s here for the depressed and despairing.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He\u2019s here for the sinner and the sinned against.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He\u2019s here for all who have been taken advantage of and all who are suffering in any way.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He\u2019s here because His Word is here.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He\u2019s here because His <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cwashing of rebirth\u201d<\/i> and His holy Supper are here.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>He\u2019s here because He has given to us His solemn promise, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201cFor where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them\u201d<\/i> (Matthew 18:20).<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">Why are you here?<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>My hope and my prayer is that you are here because you are humbly and joyfully striving to follow the example your Brother Jesus has set for you, <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201c\u2026on the Sabbath day he went to the synagogue as was his custom.\u201d<\/i><span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Make worship your <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201ccustom\u201d<\/i> so that on a regular basis you can learn even more about all the wonderful things your God has done <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:normal\">for <\/b>you.<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Make worship your <i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style:normal\">\u201ccustom\u201d<\/i> so that through God\u2019s holy Word and through God\u2019s holy Sacraments you will always be able to stay focused on Him!<span style=\"mso-spacerun:yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>(Pointing to the cross)<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt\">To God be the glory!<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\"><span
